Modica - Joann "Jennie" (Fazio) of Lynn, formerly of Medford, passed away on Tuesday May 24th, 2011.

Beloved wife of the late Giovanni "John" Modica.

Devoted mother of Paula Modica and Mary-Ellen Nille, both of Lynn, John Modica of California, and David Modica of Marblehead.

Cherished grandmother of David and Nikki Modica.

Joann was one of six sister and one brother.

Also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Joann was born in Boston on March 15, 1924 to the late Angelo and Annie Fazio. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Joann  passed away peacefully after a brief illness in the Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday morning, May 24.

In accordance with Joann's wishes, funeral services were private.
