Caggiano - Michael F. of East Boston, formerly of Revere, passed away on Monday August 4th, 2008.
Beloved husband of over 54 years to Viola (Bossi) Caggiano.
Devoted father of Sandra Caggiano of Lynn, Corinne Barisano and Michael Caggiano both of East Boston, and Cammy Green and her husband Charles of Saugus.
Dear brother of Jenny Mastascusa of Revere, Ernest Caggiano of Chelsea, and the late Joseph, Angie, Antonetta and Ralph Caggiano, Mary Fronduto, Julia Condardo, and Theresa D'Amico.
Cherished grandfather of Michael and Krysta Caggiano of Peabody. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Ruggiero-Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston on Saturday August 9th at 9:00am, followed by his Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks Street, East Boston at 10:00am.
Visiting hours are on Friday August 8th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
Michael was born in Boston in 1923 to Ausillio and Carmella (Selvitella)
Caggiano. He worked for many years as a truck driver, mostly with Star
Provision Co., and was a late member of the Revere Sons of Italy and
Revere Moose. Michael passed away
peacefully after a brief illness at the Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was
85 years of age.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael's memory
to East Boston K Trust, Att: Phil Freehan, East Boston Savings Bank, 67
Prospect Street, Peabody, MA 01960 to establish a scholarship fund in
Michael's name. The Memorial Home is handicapped accessible and a
children’s lounge is available. Courtesy valet parking at the front
entrance and ample attendant off street parking is also available in our
3 parking lots. For transportation to the memorial home please call
617-569-0990. Services will conclude with Michael being laid to
rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Elm Street, Everett.
